1200 Capitol

1200 Capitol Street is a specialized mixed-use development comprising approximately 13,000 square feet of conditioned space. The three-story building is engineered to support a high-density program that includes 16 residential units—a mix of eight studio and eight two-bedroom apartments—anchored by nearly 1,200 square feet of commercial and office space on the ground level. The structural framework utilizes a hybrid “mixed building type” approach to maximize efficiency and speed of construction. A steel superstructure provides the primary vertical and lateral load-bearing system, while the housing units themselves are engineered as modular units designed to be stacked in place.

Modular Single Family Residences

Jirsa Hedrick has assisted in the design of several single family residences that are partially modular in several mountain towns including Eagle and Minturn. By providing a hybrid site built – modular system the contractor is able to accelerate construction timelines. Jirsa Hedrick provided foundation design, and in some cases design of a stick framed lower level, with modular units and roofs designed by a modular supplier.
